Because of the rough surface he was quite hard to paint. Getting smooth blends on roughs surfaces isn't easy! In the end, I decided to give him more of a gaming quality paintjob so some parts are layered without blanding. I think his face turned out pretty good. His has a nice evil look in his eyes. Maybe that doesn't really fit his cartoony swirly-patterns-sword, but after having painted the small sword NMM, I just didn't have the patience to paint the larger sword the same way.
