Oksana, Spring Magius

Painted August 2003

It's been quite a while since I've painted one of the classic Sandra Garrity figs (you know, the ones with the 80s hair), but I found this one in my pile of minis and decided she would be fun to paint.

I'm quite happy with the result. The gold NMM was done with GW paints, and I really like the effect. The green is a combination of Woodland Green, Viridian Green and Grove Green from i-Kore. It was a little hard to blend and the paints were very shiny, but after a coat of matt varnish, I think it looks fine. As usual with garrity figs, the face gave me a lot of trouble. In the end it turned out ok, even though she looks a little scared.

After I'd finished painting her, I decided that I liked her enough to give her a little display base. I think it fits her well :)
