Undead Hunter

Painted February 2004

This mini was painted for a metallics painting contest over at Tincture Adept. I didn't win BTW. I think this guy was a little too boring compared to the winning entries (they were quite original and a little more colourful).

I think the metallics turned out really nice. They are a pain to photograph, but they are really effective IRL. The steel parts are GW Boltgun Metal highlighted with Foundry Chainmail and GW Mithril Silver. Everything was then give a couple of very thin glazes with dilluted black ink. The copper parts are i-Kore Lucifer Bronze highlighted with i-Kore something-I-don't-remember Copper and GW Burnished Gold. The copper was given several washes with undilluted i-Kore armour wash.

I had a lot of fun painting all the different undead hunter stuff on his back. He's a very nice sculpt!
