54mm Inquisitor Girl

Usually my reviews deal with massproduced figures. This is not the case with this review. The Inquisitor girl is sculpted by Golden Demon winner Tue Kaae. She is the first of his figures available to buy. If you want to order one, you can send an e-mail to this address. The price is 30£. I know that's expensive compared to "normal" figures, but honestly, I don't consider this a "normal" figure.

The figure

I haven't seen a painted version of the figure yet, so I'll have to show you the unpainted pics:

The Design:

I for one absolutely love most of GW inquisitor figures. The larger scale offers something completely new for people only used to painting 28mm. 54mm figures can be so detailed and Tue's Inquisitor girl is no exeption. I also love the fact that she is so feminine and elegant. Most of GW's Inquisitor figs look like guys with boobs.

She is made of three parts: Lower body, upper pony and hair. It don't think she will be difficult to put together.

Casting Quality:

I was a bit worried about how the casting would be. New mini companies sometimes don't have that all worked out. I didn't have any reason to worry. The moldlines aren't bad and the pinholes had been filled with green stuff before she was sent to me:

Even though she looks like she is made of the usual GW plastic, that isn't the case. This plastic/resin is tougher. It takes longer to clean, but the result is nicer.

The Bases:

This will be easy: She has no base. You'll have to provide it yourself. I totally don't care since i have about a million different bases, but some people might be a little dissappointed.

Conclusion:

Overall, these figures are lovely. Both desing and quality are great, and I'm sure they will be fun to paint.

I really hope Steve sculpts some more soon :)
