Ravage

Painted November 2003

The female Ravage is one of my favorite Dark Age figures. Werner Klocke did such a great job with the face. Her eyes are really beautiful. I tried to put the face even more into focus by giving her eyeshadow an egypthian look (which of course is completely invicible in pics!).

For the rest of the figure, I decided to go for a very simple paintjob. Part of me would have liked to do some really detalied freehand and maybe some smoother blending, but since I'm trying to build an army of these guys, I don't want to spend too long on each.

I had a lot of trouble painting the black skirt. First it was too grey, then it was too black, and then it was just really shiny! I'm happy with the final result, but the highlights are almost completely lost in the pics :(
