Painted August 2003

I got this figure from ebay along with a few other Dungeons and Dragons figs. Apparently they were made for some kind of silver anniversary. I thought they were from around 1985 or something, because the quality of the casting was really poor. After I'd started painting this girl, I took a look at the blister and found out that they were actually from 1999!

I'm really proud of this paintjob, because the figure was so bad. The details were impossible to see and the face was completely assymetric. I very carefully blacklined the "missing" details, so they were visible, and I used some of the tricks you see in theatre and make-up books to make her face look ok. I actually think she looks pretty sweet now. I'm also quite happy with the NMM. I was going for a burnished gold look.
