Painted for ebay october 2002

This is the first drow I've painted. I wanted to keep the skin really dark and I even went out and bought some new paints for this one. On of them was Foundrys Charcoal which is a nice warm dark grey. I used that for highlighting her skin. The dress is also painted with Foundry paints. I like fact that their purples are more "purple" than GW's (which are too pink IMO). I also used purple for shading her hair. My favorite part of the paintjob is probably the Sky-Earth NMM on her buckler. It was done by starting out with Scorched Brown and then highlighting with Snakebite Leather, Foundry's Lemon Shade and Lemon Light. The pure white highlights are Skull White.
