Painted as a commision September 2002

I tried a couple of new things with this one. First of all the customer wanted him to have golden sickles. I hadn't tried painting large golden areas before so that was quite a challenge. The sickles are quite flat so it's difficult to give the impression of metal. I had to "cheat" a little and paint some white streaks. The black and white tiles on the base were also new for me. I really tried to make the lines straight and I hope I succeded.
