Painted August 2003

This is one of the limited edition figures from the second CoolMiniOrNot contest. She is sculpted by Steve Buddle. This time I actually managed to paint her before the deadline!

I tried a few new things with her. The colours are much more subdued than usual. It's hard for me to get used to the natural look, but I guess it really is more realistic. The skintones are done with i-Kore paints. I love GW's Bronzed Flesh, but it's way too orange for a muted paintjob like this. I had lots of trouble with getting good pics of her. I'd used both i-Kore and Foundry paints, and some of them were insanely shiny. I was a bit worried that varnishing her wouldn't remove the shine (my varnish has been acting wierd in the heat), but I got lucky this time :)
