Painted October 2003

I really liked this sculpt when I saw it in White Dwarf, so I had to buy it. I was convinced that it would be fun to paint. And it was... until I reached the chainmail. The black paint just refused to cover those annoying white spots. I think I must have painted it ten times or something like that :(

The rest was fun though. Especially the rust effects on the NMM. It was achieved by glazing with GW Dark Flesh and Vermin Brown as well as Vallejo Smoke. I didn't dilluted the paints as much as usual, because I thought an uneven finish would be quite appropriate for rust.

This fig took second place in the Powerfist.dk painting contest. I got beat by a fantastic Dancing Space Wolf Terminator by GD winner Stefan Darlan.
